Princess Cut info
The princess cut diamond requires more work to cut than most precious stones, obvious for their price tag. However they are made to show the brilliance of the diamond, and that is why they are such a popular cut. The Princess cut diamond was created in 1980 by Betzalel Ambar and Israel Itzkowitz of the Los Angeles located Ambar Diamonds.
Princess cut diamond application
Because of their square shape, many interesting and beautiful designs can be made using princess cut diamonds. One, for example, is a "starset" application where the stones points are exactly north - south - east - west! Pretty nifty.
